DC United gear at Walmart

I just got this from another site, again its not me, but I like to pass it along

While cruising through my local area corporate WALMART (in my own personal crusade to put some more local businesses out of action ) I was shocked to come across some really nice DC United gear. They were selling three different styles of DC t-shirts. (Black White and Grey with nice basic/cool designs/logos.) They were also selling a nice quality DC United baseball hat.

All of the items were priced under $10 and were excellent quality. It was especially nice to see MLS/DC items in a place as out of theway as Stafford VA.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if Walmart is an MLS sponsor? This wouldnt strike me as something the team would sign on to seperately with Walmart.

MLS recently announced a marketing agreement with JNCO. They will be doing team stuff and selling it in stores like Wally World, JC Penny, and the like.
Note that this is not the first time they have tried to appeal to that market..They did this with the Majestic stuff back during the first couple years of the league.
