If that's the way you feel, then why waste your time coming to the US forum to post this trash. BTW, US is ranked 11th, your high and mighty Australia is 49th.::hahaha::

Seriously, get a life.

Actually my neighbor is from Australia working here in the US for two years so I showed him the post. He suggested I ask you "who is in first right now in the Australian league"?

Answer: No one. Because the league is suspended for the current season with an outside chance of operating again in 2005.

His other question -- who was in the last World Cup? Australia or the US (he also mentioned the NBL is more popular and better run than soccer in Australia )

Just some random thoughts.

"SPARKY'S NELSEN TO LORD IT
By Alan Nixon

BLACKBURN ROVERS boss Mark Hughes is signing two bargain international skippers in a bid to beat the drop on the cheap.

Hughes is taking on New Zealand captain Ryan Nelsen and South Africa's Aaron Mokoena after successful trials.

Centre-half Nelsen is finalising terms on a move from MLS champions Washington DC United and will have to apply for a work permit.

Hughes plans to have free agent Nelsen available from the start of next month onwards and is ready to put him into his struggling side.

The 26-year-old has been an international regular for years and was twice voted in the All-Star side during his stay in the United States.

Nelsen will be followed to Blackburn by Mokoena, with Rovers close to agreeing a £600,000 fee for the midfielder with Belgian side Racing Genk.

Mokoena was with Ajax for four years before being sold to Genk."

Looks like he'll be giving Friedal some defensive help.

Taking from Soccerdad's post in the American's abroad concerning Spector -- it looks like talks have stalled between Blackburn and Nelson.

And then again it's done.

Nelsen to Blackburn

Someone is still going to have to explain the WP rules again. I know he has enough caps, but doesn't New Zealand need to be within a cetain world ranking? Or is it one or the other?

Either way I wish him well.

Yep, arguably the league's best defender.

Gotta agree with you there. he was a great player in the league. DC United has a big hole to fill.

Default Kenny Bertz No Longer With DCU

http://dcunitedblog.blogspot.com/200...no-longer.html

Quote:
In the interest of full disclosure, it should be noted that Kenny Bertz has been released while DC United rounded out their developmental roster. The DCenters didn't see Kenny having much of a shot this year with DCU, but that's somewhat of a function of the depth at defense, where there are a number of people that DCU can try to see if they can move up. Of course, we wish Kenny luck, and perhaps other teams that were interested in him (Portland?) will give him a shot.
