Carlos Ruiz to the Wolves
Ruiz Close To Wolves Move 28/12/03
The agent for Los Angeles Galaxy forward Carlos Ruiz reports that he is on the verge of sealing a loan spell at wolverhampton for the Guatemala international.
Speaking with Rojomania.com, Richard Motzkin explained that Ruiz would return to America in March to prepare for the beginning of the MLS season.
"We are very proud of being able to confirm the interest and the possible deal to Wolverhampton,” he said. “We will be traveling England Saturday morning to visit the Wolves people, who have demonstrated a great interest in Carlos and requested that we arrive immediately.
Ruiz left Guatemala quite pleased with the opportunity to ply his trade in the Premiership.
"I am very happy with the interest of Wolverhampton,” he declared. “I hope everything can be finalized quickly so I can join my new team.”

Well -- that's sort of what I was thinking. I understand why MLS and clubs around the world loan players out, but it's always a risk.

Ruiz Loan In Jones’ Interest 30/12/03
Wolverhampton manager Dave Jones says he hopes the club can secure a loan spell for Los Angeles Galaxy goal poacher Carlos Ruiz.
Even though Wolves have gathered former Stuttgart ace Ioan Ganea, the Molineaux boss has not abandoned the Ruiz deal.
"We have invited Carlos over to come and try out English football with us," he told the club website. "He is one of the leading goalscorers in America's Major League and we think he's got the attributes to do well in this country as well.”
"We'll be taking a look at him and I look forward to seeing him in action here very soon."

I bet he does not make it. Not being a big Ruiz fan and seeing him live he's a good ball handler and scorer but will be required to do more than stand in front of the goal and wait for a pass as he does with the Galaxy. I also think he is small and cannot take the physical game of the EPL........just my opinion
