And backing up Ruiz/EJ is Cornell Glenn, Maryland's Thompson and Ecuadorian Mina. Good group.

He must be. But boy was he angry with LA's management over his departure!

Look what Columbus did. They really screwed themselves by messing around with it. Now they couldn't sell the rights to name their stadium. Credit to Dallas, LA and hoepfully MetroStars and Chicago.

They dragged their feet looking for the best offer and then once the stadium opened people backed off. Now they have no one. That's why I think Dallas did the right thing. I'm sure there are some people who won't like the name. But it's better to have the sponsorship money than to look stupid later like Columbus.

Eddie Johnson signs a long term to stay at FC Dallas. Good news for the league IMO.

indeed this is great news for the league, what this tells me is that the only way he leaves the MLS is that he goes to a big club in one of the 3 big leagues.

I'm glad that Dallas has there own SSS but this is what is wrong with the MLS SSS they are two far from the city, for god sake put them downtown. This is the way to grow the league to get the fans that might not go to a game but that they are downtown and will just drop in because it's there. These stadiums that are so far away don't get these people at all, the only people they get are the ones who know that they are going to go to the game already and have made plans ahead of time.
