Footballer questioned over drugs

A Coventry City footballer has been bailed by Northamptonshire police after being arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply.
Jamaican international Onandi Lowe, 30, was arrested in Wellingborough.

Police said a quantity of drugs was seized, and investigations were continuing.

Mr Lowe, who signed from Rushden and Diamonds three weeks ago, is expected to be in Coventry's squad at West Ham on Saturday.

Northamptonshire Police confirmed a man and a woman were arrested on Wednesday.

The 23-year-old woman from London was arrested in Rushden.

The two were questioned at Wellingborough police station before being released on bail.

Coventry City said Mr Lowe had informed officials about the arrest.

It would not comment further because of legal proceedings.
