Default Dean Ashton going to Scotland?

Dean Ashton's form has not gone unnoticed. The papers have stepped in and he is now a target of Glasgow Rangers.

Ashton has been a target of Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle, Charlton, Southamtpon, West Ham, Juventus & Celtic according to the tabloids since he made his first Alex start at 17 years old.

A up and down 3 years ended this season when he finally hit the form everyone expected from him. His power, pace and finishing along with his trademark runs from the half way line down the centre of the pitch have always put alex fans on the edge of their seats but this season he's added 15 goals and countless assists to his consistent performances. His current tally is a cool 48 goals in 110 games.

With form comes hype and with hype comes rumours. Today the 'Glasgow Evening Times' put out the rumour; Dean Ashton to Glasgow Rangers for a snip at £2.5million.

The England U-21 star has recently signed a contract till 2007 and isn't expected to leave for, atleast, one more season. For now, Alex fans are happy to see Deano on top of his game... even if the rest of the team aren't.

Crewe Alexandra doing a great job for youth players. They has a good development program for young players.
