Moore on brink of Albion loan move
Aston Villa striker Luke Moore is undergoing a medical at West Brom with a view to a switch on loan until the end of the season.
Moore, 22, will make a temporary move ahead of a likely £3.5million permanent transfer to The Hawthorns in the summer.
Villa have confirmed that should the loan go through, they will have the option to recall him after 28 days if necessary.
Albion are gunning for promotion to the Premier League and are also in the FA Cup quarter-finals, so boss Tony Mowbray has moved to strengthen his attacking options as the season enters the final bend.
The Baggies boss has sent young forward Sherjill MacDonald out on loan to Hereford, so Moore will fight for a first-team place alongwith Ishmael Miller, Kevin Phillips, Roman Bednar and Craig Beattie.
He was firmly out of favour under Martin O'Neill at Villa Park, where John Carew, Marlon Harewood and Gabriel Agbonlahor were all ahead of him in the pecking order.
