The 23-year-old was released by Romanian side Farul Constanta. Monteiro impressed boss Alan Pardew in a reserve match against Crystal Palace last month, and has put pen to paper on a contract until the end of the season. "I want to prove I am good enough to play for Charlton and win a longer contract at the end of the season," he told Charlton's official website.
