Football League Best XI
Come on then....lets hear them....a lot of players from last season have gone (Bale, Curtis Davies, Earnshaw, Nugent, Koumas etc.....).
what would be your best Football League XI
id go for
GK Dean Kiely (WBA)
RB Graeme Alexander (PNE)
LB Adam Drury (Norwich)
CB Dan Shittu (Watford)
CB Glen Loovens (Cardiff)
RM Darren Ambrose (Charlton)
LM Michael Tonge (Sheff Utd)
CM Robert Koren (WBA)
CM Stephen McPhail (Cardiff)
ST James Beattie (Sheff Utd)
ST Robbie Fowler (Cardiff)- biased? me??
thats based on what ive seen this season as well as past glories of course. lot of good players in the Championship this season- i like the look of this Kyle Lafferty at Burnley, and Joe Ledley at Cardiff, Wolves have three excellent attackers in Kightly, Keogh and Eastwood as well.
Lot of players there who had big potential and havent yet delivered too- Chaplow, Darren Carter, Leon Barnett, Adam Hammill, Darren Potter etc.

GK: Hennessey (Wolves)
RB: Lloyd Doyley (Watford)
LB: Paul Robinson (WBA)
CB: Dan Shittu (Watford)
CB: Leon Barnett (WBA)
RW: Michael Knightly (Wolves) or Nathan Dyer(S'ampton)
CM: Andy Reid (Charlton)
CM: Olifinjana (Wolves)
LW: Adam Johnson (Watford - onloan from M'Boro)
ST: Marlon King (Watford)
ST: Darius Henderson(Watford)
Reasons behind my selection Wolves goalkeeper had a very good record for Stockport onloan. Held very high regard for Wolves atm and made some decent saves against Watford.
Lloyd Doyley - there wont be a better defensive right back than him in this league, he has pace & strength, excellent man marking. Only weakness is going forward and this season he has improved a great deal setting up alot of our goals.
Paul Robinson - he's premiership class, he was so good at one stage there was talk of England call up for him.
Dan Shittu - absolute rock on his day. Wins everything in the air. Decent pace and strong as anybody.
Leon Barnett - havent seen him play too much but heard alot of good things about him and I couldnt really think of a centre back who had impressed me lately and early stages didnt want to put too many Watford players in this.
Knightly / Dyer - both very direct. Nathan Dyer very direct a real handful, so much pace and tricks. Amazing goal against Watford. Knightly very impressive last season
Andy Reid - so composed on the ball, great free kicks, great passing. The playmaker of my side.
Olifinjana - Very strong, good in the air, gets goals. Good allround game always think he is a good play when he plays against Watford.
Adam Johnson - premiership standard player. 3 in the last 4 games. Very good at crossing / set pieces. Good pace and skill.
Marlon King - Was championship top scorer last time around. Will be around there again. Quality he has even scored 4 goals already without firing all cylinders.
Darius Henderson - Last time around his goal ratio was a goal every other game. Defenders in this league cant deal with his strength and he bullies them. This season he is very deadly infront of goal. Already 7 league goals. Does well with Marlon King and vice versa.
Then there is players that I've missed out such as Jay DeMerit(Watford/USA) Jobi McAnuff(Watford) Damian Francis(Watford) Nathan Ellington(Watford) Tommy Smith(Watford)
Greening, Phillips, Miller(WBA) Tonge & Beattie(Sheff Utd) Ledley, Sinclair(Cardiff) Watson, Soares(Palace) Keogh(Wolves)
man I could go on, there is alot of good players in this league. To be honest I didnt rate Beattie atall v Watford Shittu had him in his pocket.
Call me bias for my team, but we are top(for now) and we've just dropped from the prem so its good experience for the players who will be much fitter strong and skillfull as a result.

Those who haven't recognize the quality of Robert Koren (West Brom) should take a close look on him. He has so much quality.

I would actually probably put Miller in my starting XI as winger too.
That Southampton midfielder was good too.
