Plymouth v Wolves match preview

Plymouth boss Ian Holloway is mulling over which strike pair to pick for the visit of Wolves, after replacing Rory Fallon and Nick Chadwick with Barry Hayles and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake for the Carling Cup defeat to West Ham on Tuesday.

Holloway has no fresh injury concerns as Plymouth search for their first home win in the league this season.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has no new injury or suspension problems, with goalkeeper Matt Murray the only absentee after undergoing surgery to repair his cruciate knee ligament.

Defender Rob Edwards was left out of the squad for the win over Norwich last weekend with a knee injury, but has now recovered to join up with the squad.

Plymouth drew for the fourth successive time at home in the league this season with Nick Chadwick (61) equalising for the home side after Wolves had made the breakthrough in the 41st minute with Stephen Elliott on the scoresheet.

Plymouth 1-0 Crystal Palace

Peter Halmosi scored the winner on 50 minutes to secure all three points for the home team against Palace at Home Park.

Plymouth Argyle have landed Manchester United starlet Lee Martin on a three-month loan and the winger is available for their trip to Blackpool.

Argyle have been chasing the 20-year-old, from Taunton, for a number of weeks and Ian Holloway has finally landed his man in time for Saturday's clash at Bloomfield Road.

Holloway may choose to name an unchanged line-up for the clash though after his side came through Tuesday night's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace unscathed.

The Pilgrims changed their line-up for the win, making three changes from the side that drew 1-1 with Wolves at Home Park.

Left-back Lee Hodges made his first Championship start of the season while there were recalls for midfielder Dan Gosling and striker Nick Chadwick.

Gosling later made way for the player he had replaced, Hungary international Akos Buzsaky, while Sylvan Ebanks-Blake was introduced for veteran strike ace Barry Hayles.

On-loan defender Larrys Mabiala (knee) has still to make his first appearance for the club.

Plymouth loanee Larrys Mabiala has been forced to return to Paris Saint Germain because of injury. Mabiala joined Plymouth earlier in the summer on a season-long loan from French giants PSG.

Plymouth's Ryan Dickson has been in action for Yeovil's reserves as he looks to secure a loan move to Huish Park. The 20-year-old started at full-back for Russell Slade's second string side in their 2-0 win over Bristol City on Wednesday. Dickson spent a spell on loan with Torquay earlier this year and is desperate to get some games under his belt.

Akos Buzsaky is negotiating a new deal with Plymouth. Buzsaky joined the Championship team from FC Porto for an undisclosed fee in May 2005 and his current contract is due to run out next summer. Plymouth manager Ian Holloway has confirmed Buzsaky, who is currently away on international duty with Hungary in Poland, is in contract talks and Argyle are reported to have offered the star a deal until summer 2010.

Plymouth v Coventry match preview

Plymouth are ready to hand on-loan midfielder Lee Martin his first home start since joining Ian Holloway's side from Manchester United.

The Pilgrims will be relieved to learn both Peter Halmosi and Akos Buzsaky have returned from international duty unscathed having represented Hungary in midweek.

Coventry are boosted by the return of wide duo Julian Gray and Ellery Cairo following knee injuries, with Iain Dowie having almost an embarrassment of riches at his disposal.

Robert Page, David McNamee, Arjan De Zeeuw, Colin Hawkins, Marcus Hall and Leon McKenzie are also back in contention.

Lee Martin scored his first goal for Plymouth to inspire them to a 1-0 win over Coventry. The Manchester United youngster, who is on loan at Home Park, grabbed the only goal of the game on 16 minutes.
