Plymouth
Holloway taken to hospital
Quote:
Plymouth manager Ian Holloway has been taken to hospital ahead of his side's Championship clash with Ipswich.
The club insisted it was nothing more than a precautionary measure, but Holloway was not able to take his place in the dugout.
Assistant manager Tim Breacker and coach Des Bulpin will take charge of the side as Argyle look to continue their 100 per cent start to the season.
A statement on Plymouth's official website read: "Everyone at Argyle wishes Ollie a speedy recovery."

Plymouth boss Ian Holloway hopes to sign Chelsea midfielder Sam Hutchison on-loan. Holloway told the club's official website of Hutchinson: "He can play centre-half, centre midfield or right-back, and I thought that was quite a decent little set of things that he could do.

Plymouth v Doncaster Carling cup match preview
Quote:
Plymouth boss Ian Holloway could involve goalkeeper Luke McCormick and striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, while defender Marcel Seip (ankle) faces a late fitness test.
Holloway also hinted that he may rearrange his back four, with Jimmy Abdou possibly slotting in at right-back.
Doncaster will be without James Coppinger after the midfielder was victim of a strong challenge during Saturday's 2-1 defeat by Bournemouth.
However, boss Sean O'Driscoll has no other fresh injuries or suspensions.

Plymouth have bolstered their defensive ranks with the addition of Paris St Germain's Larrys Mabiala. The 19-year-old moves to Home Park on a season-long loan deal, and the addition is one that manager Ian Holloway believes will be of great value.

Plymouth v Leicester match preview
Quote:
Versatile France Under-21 international defender Larrys Mabiala is in contention for his Plymouth bow after moving to Home Park on loan from Paris St Germain for the rest of the season.
Strikers Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Nick Chadwick, keeper Luke McCormick and defensive duo Krisztian Timar and Luke Hodges could all be recalled
Caretaker Leicester boss Jon Rudkin will have to focus his players' minds on Plymouth after a traumatic week for the club which saw the collapse of Clive Clarke at Nottingham Forest and the departure of manager Martin Allen.
Rudkin is hopeful he will have an almost full-strength squad at his disposal with Shaun Newton responding well to treatment on a slight knock.

Plymouth claimed another draw at home as they could not find a way through against manager-less Leicester at Home Park.
The Pilgrims had the better possession but Leicester will be more than happy with the point.

Plymouth v Cardiff preview
Quote:
Dan Gosling returns from his duties for England at the Under 17 World Cup and is available for selection for the first time this season.
Larrys Mabiala is a doubt due to a knee injury whilst captain Paul Wotton (knee) is still out, as Plymouth aim for their first league win since the opening day of the season.
Cardiff defender Tony Capaldi could face his former club if he overcomes the thigh strain that kept him out of Northern Ireland's Euro 2008 qualifiers.
Steve MacLean is expected to be out for at least ten more weeks with an ankle problem, so Robbie Fowler and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will once again line up in attack. Neither player has scored since joining The Bluebirds.

Plymouth teenager Dan Gosling has signed a new deal to keep him at the club until 2010. The highly-rated defender is regarded as one of the best young players outside the top-flight after emerging on the scene last season. Chelsea have been linked with a move for the 17-year-old and he spent a spell training with the Premier League titans last season.

Ian Holloway has warned that he could be forced to sell several Plymouth players in January, so that they do not depart on free transfers next summer. Argyle have a number of players whose contracts expire next year, which means that if they do not re-sign, they can exit Home Park for nothing. And Holloway insists that he will sell players in the January transfer window so that nobody leaves for free.

Carling Cup: Plymouth hearts were broken at Upton Park as West Ham grabbed a last-minute winner to seal a 1-0 win. With the game heading for extra time, in-form Dean Ashton was on hand to fire home a superb volley.
