Crystal Palace boss Peter Taylor has started talking to chairman Simon Jordan again, but admits he is still unsure if he will hold onto his job. Taylor revealed last week that he was "not confident" he would be given time to turn things around at Selhurst Park following the 1-1 draw with Coventry, and had not spoken to Jordan about the rumours that Neil Warnock was being lined up as his replacement. And, while the pair have now spoken, Taylor remains in the dark about his future.

Crystal Palace v Hull City match preview

Eagles boss Peter Taylor will give striker Dougie Freedman a late fitness test before naming his starting XI.

Clinton Morrison is standing-by to replace on-loan Basian Idrizaj, although Mark Kennedy is out (knee).

Hull City manager Phil Brown will be looking for a reaction from his troops after they were beaten by Charlton in midweek.

However, they will have to cope without Ian Ashbee (suspension), while Jay-Jay Okocha, Andy Dawson and Caleb Folan are doubtful.

Crystal Palace 1-1 Hull City

Hull City claimed a last gasp point at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace. Palace looked to have clinched the win when they went ahead with just nine minutes left as James Scowcroft headed home David Martin's cross. But then in stoppage time Mark Hudson fouled Michael Turner and Dean Marney stepped up to slot home from the penalty spot.

Palace exit for Symons

Kit Symons has left Crystal Palace following the appointment of Neil Warnock as manager at Selhurst Park.

The former Wales international had been first-team coach under former Eagles boss Peter Taylor and took caretaker charge until Warnock's appointment last week.

Warnock, who replaced Taylor as Palace manager, brought in his own backroom team in the shape of Mick Jones and Keith Curle.

Warnock held talks with Symons over his future and he has now decided to part company with the Championship club.

A statement on the club's official website said: "The club would like to thank Kit for his efforts both as player and coach since joining in December 2001 and wish him all the best of luck for the future."

Crystal Palace 1 Stoke City 3

Neil Warnock's first home game for The Eagles ended in defeat after Stoke left Selhurst Park will all three points.

Richard Creswell broke the deadlock after half-time, but Dougie Freedman restored parity almost immediately.

However, Cresswell's second shortly after quashed Palace's spirit before Ryan Shawcross' effort secured the win.
