Leicester goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen has revealed he plans to leave the Walkers Stadium in January. Nielsen only joined Leicester in the summer from AaB Aalborg, but has failed to break into the first team under either Martin Allen or new boss Gary Megson.

Leicester v Stoke match preview
Quote:
Leicester manager Gary Megson may stick with the side that shocked Aston Villa in the Carling Cup in midweek.
Elvis Hammond has an ankle injury and James Wesolowski is out for six weeks with a hamstring problem.
Stoke manager Tony Pulis is set to hand a debut to Belgian defender Ritchie De Laet, after Clint Hill was ruled out for six weeks with a broken rib.
Pulis has several other fitness concerns, with Andy Wilkinson and Carl Dickinson (both ankle), Mamady Sidibe (shin) and Lewis Buxton (hamstring) all sidelined and Stephen Wright (ankle) and Dominic Matteo (foot) doubtful.

Leicester 1 Stoke City 1
Stoke took an early lead when a long ball by Stephen Wright was brought down by Ricardo Fuller who smashed home his fourth of the season, with his shot taking a slight deflection on the way. But two minutes after the break Matt Fryatt levelled for the home side as Gary Megson saw his new team pick up a point against one of his former employers.

Southend have secured the services of Leicester striker Eric Odhiambo for a further month. The highly-rated teenager initially joined the Shrimpers on a month's loan but the Walkers Stadium side have agreed to extend his stay.

Gary Megson is scouting top talent as he aims to move the club forward. He revealed the Foxes are looking at "very good" players as he tries to lift his side from their current 18th place in the Championship, after taking 11 points from their opening nine matches. Megson, who replaced Martin Allen in the Foxes' hot-seat earlier this season, has used the current international break to scout for players. He is hoping owner Milan Madaric's funds will be readily available to strengthen his squad when the transfer window re-opens in January.

Leicester 0 Sheffield United 1
The Blades eased the pressure on under-fire Bryan Robson with a crucial 1-0 win at Leicester. Although Robson's future now looks a little brighter, the jury remains out for Foxes boss Gary Megson, who remains high on Bolton's wanted list. Danny Webber settled The Walkers Stadium affair with a goal shortly before half-time as, for once, United's defence held out to seal the win.

Leicester 2 Barnsley 0
Leicester, looking to put a difficult week behind them in the wake of Gary Megson's departure to Bolton, secured a two-goal lead against Barnsley inside the opening half-hour. Collins John, signed on loan this week from Fulham, stabbed home from close range after Shaun Newton's free-kick into a crowded penalty area. And it was 2-0 just eight minutes later when Barnsley's defence were caught out at a corner and Patrick Kisnorbo nodded home from almost on the line.

Leicester could do a whole lot worse than have JR in control. Good at this level and a shrewd judge of players values and capabilities.
