Foxes land pair of Cats
Quote:
Leicester have completed the signings of Clive Clarke and Marton Fulop from Sunderland.
Both players arrive at the Walkers Stadium on loan deals, defender Clarke for three-months and goalkeeper Fulop until the end of the season.
Allen delight
"Clive has experience, a great appetite and hunger to play and has come here for three months to prove he is good enough," said Foxes boss Martin Allen.
"At other clubs he has been picked as their captain and I believe he will be a good acquisition for us."
Allen was also very happy to bag Hungarian Fulop.
"I am delighted Marton Fulop has agreed to join us on loan for the season," he continued.
"He has great presence, a great attitude to work and to improve and is a goalkeeper I've tried on many occasions in the past to get on loan.
"I believe this is a significant signing for Leicester City."
The pair are both in line to make their debuts against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Foxes line up Ferreira move
Quote:
Benfica midfielder Marco Ferreira is set to join Leicester on a season-long loan.
Ferreira has fallen down the pecking order at Benfica in recent months and does not figure in Fernando Santos' plans for the coming campaign.
Benfica had considered loaning Ferreira out to another Portuguese club but, according to reports in the country, he will now join Leicester until June 2008.
The Championship club would then have the option to buy Ferreira for 800,000 euros (£550,000).
Ferreira told the Portuguese press: "Today England is a big market and I hope to relaunch my career there."
Leicester manager Martin Allen has been busy rebuilding his squad since taking charge at The Walkers Stadium and has so far made 14 signings.

Crystal Palace v Leicester Preview
Quote:
Crystal Palace will be without Ben Watson after the midfielder damaged ankle ligaments in the Carling Cup defeat to Bristol Rovers.
Peter Taylor is likely to make a number of other changes, with Julian Speroni, Matt Lawrence, Leon Cort, Jamie Scowcroft and Clinton Morrison all set to return.
Leicester boss Martin Allen has added three new players to his squad following the opening day defeat to Blackpool.
Clive Clarke and Marton Fulop travel to Selhurst Park after joining from Sunderland, while Patrick Kisnorbo is available for the first time this season after a two-match suspension. Jonathan Hayes (thigh) and Elvis Hammond (ankle) are likely to miss out.

Allen rejects rift rumours
Quote:
Leicester City manager Martin Allen has rubbished speculation of a rift with club chairman Milan Mandaric.
Rumours suggested that Allen and Mandaric had experienced a disagreement over the potential signing of former Charlton forward Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
The proposed transfer broke down and Hasselbaink has since joined Cardiff, but Allen insists this was his decision because he was not interested in a striker and that Mandaric supported his judgement.
However, it was recently reported that Glenn Roeder was being lined up by the Foxes as a possible managerial replacement for Allen after only one win from Leicester's three opening games of the season.
Allen, though, has dismissed all rumours and insists he and Mandaric have a good working relationship.
"There has been a lot of talk and I don't usually comment on it," Allen told the Leicester Mercury.
Speculation
"But, there has been innuendo, untruths, told which are out of order.
"When you are in the heat of the kitchen, a bigger kitchen than I have been used to, I suppose I will have to accept that this is going to happen, that people will start rumours off and it is just more rubbish.
"People can write what they like, suggest what they like, but on Saturday our stadium will be buzzing for the visit of Watford.
"Speculation never puts a dampener on anything I have ever done at my other clubs.
"Now, with speculation rife, it makes me smile, doesn't make me upset or worried.
"I just love coming to work every day. It doesn't hurt me at all, it just makes me stronger."

Leicester v Watford match preview
Quote:
Summer signing Carl Cort has returned to training after a hamstring injury and will be hoping to make his debut for the Foxes while James Chambers has recovered from his calf problem.
Darren Kenton (ribs) and Jonathan Hayes (thigh) are doubtful while Elvis Hammond (ankle) will not be included as Martin Allen's side go in search of their first victory of the season.
Darius Henderson, who was the subject of a £1.5million bid from Fulham earlier this week, may not be involved for Watford after suffering a knock in training.
Otherwise, Hornets boss Adrian Boothroyd has no new injury problems to contend with and will stick with the players on duty in the win over Sheffield United last time out.

Nottingham Forest v Leicester Carling cup match preview
Quote:
Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood could hand Nathan Tyson a shock start after the striker came on as a late substitute in Saturday's defeat against Leeds.
But Chris Cohen (groin), Matt Lockwood (ankle), Ian Breckin (calf), Lewis McGugan (ankle) and Arron Davies (ankle) are all sidelined.
Leicester have no fresh injury worries but Martin Allen could choose to rest some of his squad.
Darren Kenton (rib) is still struggling, while Jonathan Hayes (thigh) is not yet ready to return to first-team action.

Mandaric has been like this since he was screwing around with San Jose Earthquakes in the 1970s.
If there was a "three strikes" rule for megalomaniacal meddling chairmen, he would have started his life sentence about 20 years ago.
