Cardiff bag Sinclair
Quote:
Cardiff City have signed former England international midfielder Trevor Sinclair.
Sinclair was released by Manchester City at the end of last season and was attracting the attention of a number of Championship clubs.
Stoke held talks with the 34-year-old last week, while Leicester were also mooted as possible suitors.
But Bluebirds boss Dave Jones has lured the former West Ham and Queens Park Rangers winger to Ninian Park for next season.
"We are delighted to add Trevor to the squad," said Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale on the club's official website.
"He is a former England international and has experience at the top level, which is important to us.
"Trevor will add value and depth to the team and will give us more quality as we try to build a team that can operate at the right end of the Championship."
Sinclair has flown out to join the rest of the Cardiff squad at their pre-season training camp in Portugal.
Jones is also looking to sign Sinclair's ex-England and City team-mate Robbie Fowler.
