Hull City have completed the signing of Colchester United's Richard Garcia on a free transfer.

The Australian makes the switch to The KC Stadium via the Bosman ruling and his departure completes a hat-trick of big names to leave Layer Road this pre-season, as he follows Chris Iwelumo and Jamie Cureton through the exit door.

The 26-year-old put pen-to-paper on a three-year-deal with The Tigers, and the club's official website has tipped Garcia to be a key part of Phil Brown's side next term.

The move brought an end to Garcia's three-year stay at Layer Road, having previously played for West Ham and Leyton Orient.

The striker becomes Brown's third signing of the summer, with Bryan Hughes and Dean Windass already having signed on ahead of the new campaign.
