Kinnear enters the Forest
Nottingham Forest have confirmed that Joe Kinnear has agreed to become the next manager of the struggling Division One club.
The club announced on Monday that they were in talks with the former Wimbledon and Luton Town manager about becoming Paul Hart's successor, who was sacked following Saturday's 1-0 home defeat to Midlands rivals Coventry City.
Both Kinnear and Forest chairman Nigel Doughty held lengthy discussions in London on Monday evening and the former Republic of Ireland international has agreed to take charge at The City Ground this week.
The 57-year-old is expected to be at the club on Wednesday to meet the players and staff, with a press conference also scheduled for that day.
His appointment at Forest gives Kinnear a fresh chance back in football following his acrimonious departure from Luton last summer.
