Default Windass makes Tigers move

Quote:
Hull have signed Bradford striker Dean Windass on a two-year deal following his successful loan spell at the club last season.

The 38-year-old has moved to the KC Stadium for an initial fee of £150,000 with further add-ons based on appearances.

"I'm delighted to finally get things signed and sealed because it's been a long summer," Windass told the club's website.

"Obviously Phil Brown said he wanted to sign me, then the new chairman came in and things got delayed for a while.

"But we've finally got it all done and I'm delighted about that.

"There were a couple of times when I thought things might not go through.

"There was concern about the transfer fee. The chairman did a deal with Julian Rhodes (Bradford chairman), then it was off and then back on again.

"There was no doubt that I wanted to come back. I've always said I wanted to finish my career here and now I've got the opportunity to do that.

"It's another challenge for me, another step forward and hopefully we can push on now with a few other signings as well."

Windass scored eight goals in 18 appearances whilst on loan with the Tigers last term.
