Vass leaves for Brescia
Quote:
Stoke midfielder Adam Vass has left the club to join Brescia.
The out-of-contract Hungarian international turned down a new offer from City to make the move to Serie B.
"We offered him a contract as we felt he was a player with huge potential," Stoke chief executive Tony Scholes told the club's website.
"Adam consulted his national team manager and was told he would need to play regular first team football to benefit his development as a player.
"He felt as though the move to Italy would give him more chance of that and his agent has informed us that he has agreed to join Brescia."
Vass, 18, joined City in 2004 and despite not making a first-team appearance for the club, he was named on the substitutes' bench on a number of occasions last season.
