Default Plymouth target Sinclair deal

Quote:
Plymouth Argyle are hopeful of taking promising Chelsea striker Scott Sinclair on loan again next season.

Sinclair spent the second half of last term with The Pilgrims and impressed immensely as he scored four goals in 18 appearances.

The 18-year-old was rewarded with a start for Jose Mourinho's side against Manchester United in May, however he suffered a broken metatarsal in the game.

Sinclair is still recovering from the injury but hopes to be challenging for a first-team place with The Blues when he is back to full fitness.

If Mourinho decides the England Under 18 international would be best off going out on loan again, Plymouth will try to bring him back to Home Park.

The Championship club's chairman Paul Stapleton believes they will have a 'good chance' of landing Sinclair once more.

"As far as loans are concerned, it's very unusual to get players from Premiership clubs until August or September, when they have had their pre-season and things have settled down," he told The Herald.

"People know the player (Sinclair) we had on loan was starting to break into the first team at Chelsea but was then injured.

"He has made a name for himself, and we hope to be in with a shout of getting him next season.

"Everything we did for the lad, and for Chelsea, was done right so we have got a chance - a good chance I would think - but you just never know."

I think Chelsea prefer him to go on loan to a Premiership club this time.

Yes most properly to a prem side be ideal, or Plymouth again, if we don't get another striker in I would like idea of him going on loan till January then staying in squad to end of season.

He wouldn't go to Sunderland it's unnecessary and I don't see him playing up north.

Derby and Birmingham make sense, or back to Plymouth, a London team maybe...

If honest I wouldn't want him if I was in EPL next season, he just be hit and miss, showing great qualities, then showing the type attributes that are bad rather him be blooded into first team.

Ye I would not mind him either at Watford.

Tbh it's either going to be you, QPR, Plymouth or Derby/Birmingham(which I dowt) especially Birmingham poor managment rubbish manager.

I can't seing it being Palace, though that saying we sent a youngster to Doncaster, and southern coast teams seem to be a destination with Bournemouth and Plymouth.
