Robins set to land youngster Gill
Cheltenham look set to make Watford youngster Ben Gill their first close-season signing.
Utility-man Gill, 19, who can play in defence or midfield, has agreed terms with the Robins after training with the squad last week and should sign a deal in the next few days.
Manager John Ward was delighted to land the former Arsenal junior, and told the club's official website: "I'm very pleased because he looks exactly the sort of player we need.
"He is versatile and can play in either midfield or the centre of defence. He has already trained with the squad so he has seen the club and wants to join us."
Gill was a regular for Watford's reserves and also made four appearances for Cambridge in the Conference this season.
