Cobblers snap up Royals young gun
Northampton boss Stuart Gray has beaten the deadline to sign Reading striker Simon Cox on a month's loan.
The 22-year-old forward, who has had two spells on loan at Brentford, has progressed through the Royals' Academy to make a number of first-team appearances.
Cobblers boss Gray said: "Simon is a good young player and a great prospect. He is a striker and I'm very grateful to Reading for letting him come out on loan to us.
"I've seen him play a lot for Reading's reserves and hopefully he will have as big an impact here as Alex Pearce has had."
