Default Hull signed Vaz Te on loan

Hull have offset the loss of Jon Parkin by bringing in striker Ricardo Vaz Te on loan from Bolton.

The struggling Tigers allowed Parkin to join Stoke on loan earlier on Friday, a move which weakened their striking options.

Manager Phil Brown clearly had his finger on the pulse, however, as he wrapped up a loan deal for Vaz Te later on Friday.

The pacey 20-year-old has yet to score for Bolton this season, but he has proven Premiership experience to draw on and Brown will hope he can aid their quest to avoid the drop during the next four weeks.

"He'll bring something special to the front line," said Brown. "He's a hungry young lad who has played regularly against the best defences in England."

Vaz Te will be eligible to face Preston on Saturday.
