Joint league leaders Preston have the chance to inflict more misery on Peter Taylor's struggling Eagles, and Paul Simpson's high-flyers will have Patrick Agyemang at their disposal after the striker was taken off in the 1-0 win over Leicester.

Defender Callum Davidson has returned to training after a groin injury, but Youl Mawene (knee), Adam Nowland (thigh) and Neil Mellor (knee) are all still under the watchful gaze of the medical department at Deepdale.

Palace, meanwhile, expect to have midfielder Michael Hughes back in contention after sustaining a thigh strain in the 2-0 win over Barnsley, but defender Leon Cort is still short due to a hamstring problem.
