Southend signed Arnau Riera

Sunderland midfielder Arnau Riera has beaten the transfer deadline to sign for Southend.
The former Barcelona man admitted earlier this month he was keen to leave Sunderland in search of first team football and Roy Keane has granted him his wish.
Riera has struggled to establish himself at the Stadium of Light since arriving from Spain in the summer.
The 25-year-old has only made two appearances for Sunderland and he has failed to get a look-in under Keane.
The Spaniard will stay at Roots Hall until January 1.
