Default Hull City v Stoke City

Quote:
Hull have picked up seven points from the last nine available and Phil Parkinson's team are beginning to climb the table, while a Lee Hendrie-inspired Potters have won five of their last seven.

The Tigers will be without striker Jonathan Parkin through ligament damage and shin injury victim Danny Mills, while captain Ian Ashbee is suspended, but David Livermore is fit to return.

Stoke striker Ricardo Fuller is banned, so Vincent Pericard will again partner Mamady Sidibe in attack.

Clint Hill and Danny Higginbotham are expected to shake off slight niggles.

A good result for us, and one that extends our winning run to 3 games, also entailing 3 clean sheets which is promising to find that whilst still scoring goals, we're being resolute at the back. 6 wins in 8 has meant that we're now on the fringes of the play offs, and hopefully we can maintain this form throughout the season. Clearly, the worry at the minute is whether we can get the loanee's who've raised the barrier and standard at the club enoromously to sign this players on a permanant basis. At the minute a large percentage (in context) revolves around these players;

Lawrence
Hendrie
Diao
Griffin

Delap is currently injured, also Jeff Whitley has failed to make an impression.

Lawrence is going to sign.

Hendrie, i doubt due to ambission to remain at Villa, although i wouldn't totally rule out a move.

Diao, quoted at saying wouldn't return to Liverpool under Benitez. Good possibility.

Griffin will sign, not official, but,.... well being told by a 'relaible source'. Ah that old chestnut.

Hopefully TP will keep the good work up, and retain these players as well as adding one or two more in the Jan window. I want us to go all out for promotion as i think the CCC this season is quite poor tbh, and we have a great opportunity providing we back the manager...

H.

Clearly a fan then. He actually displayed that he could become a 'decent' squad acquisition during his very limited performances to date. With Liam Lawrence being signed, and our central midfielder Darel Russell finding some ability, he'd be on the bench anyway. Though, the signing of Lawrence may have been as a consequence of his injury, so....

Apologies for the double post, but i noticed that threads for all this weeks games have been posted. Wouldn't want to tread on anybody's toes, but is it really necessary? Due to this forum targeting a global audience there isn't enough (IMO) fans of their respective clubs to warrant these threads. Just a suggestion, maybe one thread rounding up the action.
