Chadwick joins Norwich
Quote:
Stoke winger Luke Chadwick has joined Norwich on loan with a view to a permanent move in January.
Chadwick wanted to move to East Anglia to be near his Cambridge-based family.
The 25-year-old former Manchester United player said: "The travelling has been a struggle for me, which is why my form has been up and down."
Stoke boss Tony Pulis added: "I understand his reasons for leaving and the club is doing the right thing by him in the circumstances."

thus making stoke a more beautiful club.

Norwich City are reported to have agreed a fee of £220,000 with Stoke City for winger Luke Chadwick.
The 25-year-old, who was targeted by the Canaries earlier in the summer, will cost an extra £100,000 if City win promotion.
Chadwick joined Norwich on an initial loan deal until 3rd January on Monday and is set to make the move permanent when the transfer window reopens.
"I'm thrilled to be coming to Norwich,"? he told the Eastern Daily Press. "I know Peter Grant from our time at West Ham and Norwich is a tremendous club.
I" was devastated when the move fell through in the close season and I'm delighted to be joining now."
The midfielder moved to Upton Park in 2004 after leaving Manchester United on a free transfer.
He joined Stoke from West Ham for £100,000 in January this year.

could lead to a decent signing he has the pace for us and will battle Croft for the right wing spot

I personally don't rate him that highly, i feel he flatters to decieve as he'll make decent runs and get in good crossing positions but, his final ball is regularly poor, and lacking quality and i find him to be a very frustrating player. His stamina is also questionable, reguarly needing to be subsituted due to his lack of fitness. In saying that, i wish him all the best Norwich.

Heard he offered very little apart from the goal. In all fairness, i wasn't disappointed at his departure. I personally don't see him playing much of a part in a promotion aspirations a team may have....(no offence, just don't think he's that good a player at this level)

i agree
our real right winger (Lee Croft) whose injured for around 6 weeks would take the right side straight back we are more deadly when we have Huckerby/Croft sticking in the balls to Earnshaw

Lee Croft is quite a useful player from what i've seen of him - one of the few bright sparks since you were relegated, as Worthington did buy some players who clearly haven't fulfilled the said ambition to return to the top flight. Namely, Andy Hughes.
Huckerby is obviously a good player at this level, him and Earny are massive parts of your side - proved by our 5-0 victory over you, 'incidentally' without them playing.

Andy Hughes is shit ..i have no idea why he played today when we have McVeigh on the bench
without Huckerby and Earnie in our side we are basically left with a shell of the old Norwich City side in the late 90's
i wished we kepted Darel Russell

Interesting comment that, mate. A lot of our fans don't rate him, whilst i've always argued that he provides a good foil for a good player, and since Diao has been providing cover rather than Dave Brammer, he's really come into his own, and is playing at the top of his game at the moment, and is scoring too, 2 in 2 for him after he secured yesterdays victory. Admittedly, at times his passing and shooting do let him down, and due to his energy levels is branded by some a headless chicken, but the quote 'You don't know what you've got 'till it's gone' really rings true. Darel is the energy of the team, and we really are seeing him produce some magnificent performances of late. We've certainly recieved full value for the fee.
Just to prove how well he is playing, i'd say on current form he'd keep John Eustace out of the team. Eustace being a player, when fit, easily amongst the top 5 midfielders in this division. That's a testament to hoe well Darel is playing at the minute, and long may it continute.....
