De Vos defends Richards
Quote:
Ipswich Town captain Jason De Vos has leapt to the defence of team-mate Matt Richards.
Richards has come under fire from some sections of his own fans this term, abuse De Vos says is unmerited.
The Canadian stopper believes Richards' work largely goes unnoticed and that he deserves more credit for his efforts on the pitch.
"He sometimes gets unfairly treated by the fans, who do not always understand what goes on," stated De Vos.
"It is Matt who does the dirty work and runs his heart out. He gives us balance and has great character and determination."
Richards was at fault for Norwich's opener in Sunday's East Anglian derby, although Ipswich recovered to win 3-1.

Knee injury for Chadwick
Quote:
Luke Chadwick has undergone a minor operation on the knee injury he picked up on his Norwich City debut.
The winger, who joined on loan from Stoke City last week, put his new side ahead in Sunday's East Anglian derby at Ipswich Town.
But he was forced off in the closing stages after colliding with the advertising hoardings and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Chadwick suffered a deep gash to his knee, with The Canaries admitting the player was fortunate not to be seriously injured, although it is unclear when he will be fit to return.
"He had surgery done on his knee to clean it up," physio Neal Reynolds told the club's official website.
"He's had a really nasty gash on it. It was very deep and long.
"If it had been three inches lower it could have been much more serious."
Chadwick also appeared to hurt his shoulder in the incident, but Reynolds was quick to play down a second injury problem.
He added: "If it was dislocated, it went back in very quickly - he put it back in himself."

That's pathetic! Both freak accidents, and to say different is pathetic! Roy Keane on Alfie Haaland is deliberate, Richard Wright on Nillis was a 50/50 ball, both had intentions for the ball, unfortunately Nillis came of a lot worse.
Notman, charged down a free kick which was hit with such velocity it ended his career? Good bravery but how is that deliberate?
If we wanna talk ex-rated challenges, how about Flemings chest high challenge on Haynes at Carrot road? and the rest of the over the top challenges on him that game.

Your losing the plot mate, all the acrimony in the world doesn't change the result, on the day you lost 3-1 to the better side. End of story.

Always boring to lose against Tractor boys. However, The Canaries have a very good statestic at Portman Road, and the defeat was just around the corner.
Revenge at Carrow Road, indeed

A full capacity Carrow Road it should be spectacular, and even better if we beat you, enjoy the day.
