Bruce confirms bids
Birmingham boss Steve Bruce has money burning a hole in his pocket following the sale of Emile Heskey and he has told Sky Sports News he has two bids on the table for players.
Bruce is determined to build a squad capable of bouncing back to The Premiership at the first time of asking.
He has already revamped his squad and the sale of Heskey to Wigan in midweek has swelled the club's coffers to the tune of £5.5 million.
It would appear Bruce has been given the green light to reinvest the money, as he has confirmed two bids are on the table.
"The problem is, which is what we have all got, is can we get the ones we want and are they available?" Bruce told Sky Sports News.
"We have two bids for two particular players at the moment. We hope something materialises over the next ten days."
Bolstering his attack would appear to be an area Bruce is looking at, as he has been linked with Charlton target Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Fulham forward Collins John.
