West Brom have completed their £1m move for Wigan striker Geoff Horsfield.
The 30-year-old, who spent just three months at Wigan, signed a two-and-a-half-year deal after passing a medical and agreeing personal terms.
Horsfield will go straight into Baggies boss Gary Megson's squad for the trip to Coventry on Saturday.
"Geoff will hopefully bring to the club all the things he's done against us in the past - getting hold of the ball and chipping in a few goals," said Megson.
Horsfield joined Wigan from Birmingham for £1m in September and scored seven goals in 16 league games.
But despite his switch to the JJB Stadium, the former Scarborough, Halifax and Fulham striker continued to live in the West Midlands.
"I haven't just been an admirer of Geoff over the last couple of seasons," Megson told the club's website.
"We, like everybody else, have been aware of what he can do since he was at Halifax.
"At the moment I feel our forward line is much of a muchness. We've got good forwards but with similar strengths.
"We need someone to give us something a little bit different and I'm sure Geoff will do that."
