Kightly pens Wolves deal

Wolves winger Michael Kightly has finally put an end to speculation regarding his future by signing a new four-year contract.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs after impressing hugely last term, following his move from non-league Grays Athletic.

"I have said from day one that I'm happy here and would sign a longer contract if I was offered one," Kightly told the club's website.

"The discussions on personal terms went well and now I can look forward to another four good years here.

"I knew it was a big club when I first arrived but, with the stadium and setup here, I feel it is one of the best in the League.

"The ambition is to kick on and get into the Premier League and I want to be a part of it and play at the highest level.

"The way the fans have treated me has been unbelievable and I want to show some loyalty to them and help the club get up.

"We had a good chance with the squad we had last year and with a couple of additions then I think our chances will be even better.

"I'm settled in the area which is a big part of things, and have been happy staying in my apartment. But, in the next couple of months, I'll be looking for a house to settle down in now that I have the stability that the new contract has given me."

Great news, what an absolute legend. I told people he seemed like he felt he owed something to the club and I was right He's an awesome player and a nice guy too (always has time for the fans).

Of course in football you can never be too sure about players and their contracts but if anyone wants Kights now it's gonna be £5m upwards - and even then I wouldn't sell (Morgan's bought in plenty of cash so what'd be the point?).
