Wenger hails Rovers stars
bit of a old story but.......
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes a number of Doncaster players could be destined to play in the Premiership.
Wenger's team overcame Rovers earlier this week to reach the Carling Cup semi-finals by the skin of their teeth.
The Gunners needed Gilberto's equaliser at the end of extra-time to force a penalty shoot-out, which they won 3-1 thanks to three super saves from Manuel Almunia.
And after watching Dave Penney's League One side give Arsenal a huge fright, Wenger tipped them to make the grade at the highest level.
He said: "We were playing against a very good side and I am not surprised that they beat Aston Villa after what I saw.
"Doncaster have some players who you think have a future in the Premier League. Their whole team didn't have a weakness and we found it really tough."
