Tyson makes Forest switch

Highly-coveted striker Nathan Tyson has joined League One side Nottingham Forest from Wycombe on loan with a view to a permanent move.

Championship duo Luton and Cardiff had bids turned down for the 23-year-old, while Sheffield Wednesday agreed a £750,000 deal with Wanderers, only for the forward to reject the switch after talks.

Wycombe boss John Gorman told the club's official website: "Although we didn't want to lose him, this is a financial move that everyone has to understand. Nathan has kept going all the way through the speculation and he's been a pleasure to work with.

"We wish him all the best."

Tyson, who has scored 11 goals in 15 games this season, will not be considered for Forest's clash with Bournemouth on Saturday and is ineligible for the FA Cup replay against Weymouth having already played for Wycombe in the competition.

Well most of us thought it was another stunt by the club to put the impression across that their trying, but all credit for attracting the lad here....and what a signing!

Its just the push we need being just outside the playoffs (points wise), and it certainly given the fans a lift donw here trust me!

Look forward to seeing him in the garibaldi!

I couldn't believe it when I saw it....

Fair play to Doughty on this one, I was expecting it to be another mark Arthur publicity stunt.

He could of chose from a pick of championship sides so why Forest? Maybe there's something in his mind holding him back because i heard he was pretty shocking for Reading in the Championship.

Its common knoledge that he didnt go to Weds because 'they didnt make him feel wanted enough'...that was quoted by the player and the manager themselves....

And as for they wont, 2 points off the playoffs is nothing...with Tyson coming in it could be the kick up the arse that the players need, and could push us on!
