Southampton youngster Dexter Blackstock has joined Derby on a month's loan after struggling to make the breakthrough at St Mary's.
Blackstock has found first-team action hard to come by at St Mary's despite Saints' lack of success in front of goal this season, and manager Harry Redknapp has decided to let the 19-year-old striker head to Pride Park.
His departure could pave the way for Redknapp to enter the loan market for a forward himself.
Blackstock will go straight into the Rams squad to face QPR on Saturday.
