Hoddle handed transfer kitty
Wolves manager Glenn Hoddle has been promised money to fund the club's Premiership promotion bid.
The Black Country side are desperate to return to the top flight and are ready to arm Hoddle with a New Year transfer kitty.
The Championship club have hit a slump in form and have not won in their past four matches.
Hoddle's side trail leaders Sheffield United by 16 points, and are also 13 points off the second automatic promotion spot.
In recent weeks, injuries have severely disrupted Hoddle's plans and the club are now willing to come to their manager's aid.
Chief executive Jez Moxey has confirmed that money will be handed to Hoddle for signings, with a figure of £5 million mooted.
"Yes, there is money available to Glenn, as there was before the transfer window closed in August," said Moxey in Wolves' programme for Saturday's game with Preston.
"If a player whom he believes could make a difference becomes available in January, then we will support him where we can.
"If the manager does feel the need to strengthen the squad, especially in the light of injuries to key players, then of course we'll do all we can to help him."
