Thumbs down Ashton: We're behind boss

Norwich striker Dean Ashton has given his full backing to under-pressure manager Nigel Worthington, who was jeered by fans on Saturday.

Worthington was jeered by Canaries fans after the weekend 3-0 defeat at QPR, which came four days after going down 4-2 to Luton at Kenilworth Road and left Norwich languishing in 16th place.

However, Ashton insists the players are behind the boss, who took them to the Premiership before relegation from the top flight last season.

Ashton told the club's official website: "We are all totally behind the manager and it's time we looked at ourselves.

"It's all well and good being all smiles when things are going well but it's when your backs are against the wall that you find out who really wants it. That's something we've all got to look at."

Must admit that I thought that might have been the end of Worthington following Saturday's loss

because it's difficult getting used to the championship when you've spent one season out of it

Ashton has to back Worthington or he will get dropped

never disagree with Worthington ...look what happened to wonderkid Danny Crow ..scoring for fun in League 2 now after a disagreement with Worthington

anyway... Worthington wont get sacked how many times do i have to say that?

only way he goes is to really do somethink bad like rob the club or resign
