MacKay set for Hornets
Watford look set to bring West Ham United defender Malky MacKay to Vicarage Road next week.
The 33-year-old has become surplus to requirements since Alan Pardew's side claimed Premiership promotion in last season's Championship play-off final.
Despite moving to Upton Park in a £300,000 move from Norwich City last September, the Scotland international has been allowed to leave the club on a free transfer.
That has alerted Hornets boss Adrian Boothroyd to the veteran's availability, who reportedly missed out on signing MacKay just before Friday's win at Cardiff City.
The Hertfordshire club, however, seem set to make the former Celtic man their latest addition by completing a move for the defender in the near future.

he hasnt signed yet....Gavin Mahon is our captain....time will tell if he starts but DeMeritt and Carlisle are pretty solid probably one of the best pairing in the division.
