If we have already turned down £3m for Bent why would we jump at the chance now? I admit we wont hold on to him for long as he continues to impress at u21 level but we wont let him go easy. We have sorted out the finances but still have to accept decent offers, but Sheepshanks has done well and is able to negotiate with clubs now and has said he wants over £5m for Bent
At the current moment i wouldn't say Bent is worth £3m, but he definately has the potential which is why the club want £5m for him, Ipswich arte very proud when they develop youth players and dont like to see them sold on the cheap and it definately hurt when Ambrose was sold at such a young age
As for the banners all cleared up now

I didn't actually know there was a limit i could of sworn HRF told me there was unlimited amount when i joined but oh well, think he didn't like the look of a certain one::gotcha::
I dont think Sheepshanks would ever allow Bent to leave on a free, with most players we have waited to negotiate contracts with about a month left, however with Benty Sheepy would negotiate early to get it sorted and should it hit problems then he would tyr to get as much money as possible, although with Bent being under 24 at the moment we would still get a compensation figure of around £1-2m

I hate to be the one to point this out, but you need to change your banner from top of the league to bottom of the league

i think thats a little optimistic in the current market.... 1 million max in my opinion.. hes got talent, granted, but its only potential at the minute....
i think hed be better off holding out for 3 maybe 3.5 mil.... thats still quite high, but more realistic than 5+ mil or letting him go for about 500k on a bosman....
