Default Edwards joins Wolves

Wolves have been handed a boost by the news that defender Rob Edwards has completed his move to the Championship club after receiving the medical all-clear to make his switch from Aston Villa.
The Wales international's move to Molineux hit a snag last week after tests revealed a problem with one of the defender's ankles.

The 21-year-old was sent to an ankle specialist in London on Monday, where he was given the medical clearance to complete his move to the Black Country club.

Edwards joins Wolves for an initial fee of £125,000, with the defender having agreed to a three-year contract with Dave Jones's side.

"Rob travelled with club physio Steve Kemp to see the specialist yesterday, where he underwent a thorough examination," Wolves club secretary Richard Skirrow told the club's official website.

"The doctor gave us what we consider to be a satisfactory second opinion on the player's health and we are happy to now complete the signing."
