Default Sunderland Sign Mark Lynch

Sunderland boss Mick McCarthy has made Manchester United defender Mark Lynch his sixth summer signing.
Lynch has signed a three-year deal at the Stadium of Light after deciding to quit Old Trafford in search of first team football.

He said: "It's always a wrench to leave a club like United but I thought the time was right and the gaffer [Sir Alex Ferguson] said it was okay for me to move on.

"There was other interest but I wanted to sign for Sunderland. It's a great club and as soon as I spoke to Mick McCarthy I was impressed.
