Millers want Morris
Rotherham are still in the reckoning to sign out-of-contract midfielder Jody Morris.
Morris enjoyed a mini-resurrection of his faltering career when he made 10 appearances for the Millers on a short-term contract after he was paid up by Leeds last season.
Rotherham manager Ronnie Moore has made no secret of the fact he is keen to bring the 25-year-old back to South Yorkshire, but will face stiff competition for his signature from other clubs, including Coventry.
However, a statement on Rotherham's official website read: "Negotiations are still ongoing in an attempt to bring Jody Morris back to Millmoor and he has expressed a desire to join the Millers on a permanent basis.
"But there is still differences in his wage demands and what the club is able to offer, even though that they have stretched the budget."
