Hornets set for busy summer
Watford boss Ray Lewington is bracing himself for a busy summer, with reports suggesting Lee Cook is to leave the club and Andy Ferrell already earmarked as his replacement.
Despite having offered Cook a new deal in the summer, it now seems likely that the player will be plying his trade with Championship newcomers QPR next season.
''It looks as if we have lost him after fighting tooth and nail to keep him,'' confirmed Hornets chairman Graham Simpson.
''A Mr Paladini got in touch with me on Wednesday. It was the first time we have heard from QPR since they made an initial enquiry.''
Meanwhile, Newcastle midfielder Ferrell is set to move to Vicarage Road - most probably on an initial one-year deal.
''I think we took a punt when we signed Scott Fitzgerald and I think Ray feels the same about Andy Ferrell,'' he continued.
''Ferrell comes highly recommended and certainly Ray is interested in him.''
