Keown of to Reading?
Reading have confirmed their interest in former Arsenal defender Martin Keown.
The ex-England star left Highbury at the end of the season after 11 years with the club.
Premiership Portsmouth have also shown an interest but The Royals are hoping to attract him to The Madjeski Stadium.
"He is one of the players I suppose who, if he didn't sign for a bigger club, we would be one of the clubs looking to pick up the debris," manager Steve Coppell told The Evening Post.
"We have been told he's looking to play at as high a level as possible and I have been reading that Premiership clubs are interested in him.
"We appreciate we can't offer him what others could but if for any reason a move fell down then we would definitely be interested."
