Gradi : 'still in with a chance'
Crewe boss Dario Gradi is set to begin talks with Dave Brammer this week over a new contract.
The 29-year-old's contract runs out at the end of the month and Stoke, Coventry, Ipswich, Rotherham and Wrexham are all reportedly interested in the midfielder.
"Dave has been in touch and we've arranged a meeting this week so he can listen to what we have to offer," Gradi told the club's official website.
"He hasn't signed for anyone else yet and so we still have a chance. If he's got a good offer then I'm sure he'll go for it, but if he hasn't then he'll listen to what we have to say.
"To be honest negotiations are easy with us. We have a sliding wage scale and with Dave being one of our best players he will be at the top of it. We'll make him our best offer and he'll know we cannot go above that.
"But we have a very good relationship and we'll meet and talk openly. He will then go away and make his decision."
