Roberts should sign deal by next week
Iwan Roberts' agent has revealed that the striker has not yet pledged his future to Gillingham, but admitted the move is a possibility.
Earlier this week Gills boss Andy Hessenthaler revealed he was confident he could land the former Norwich forward by the end of next week, with reports claiming the 35-year-old travelled to Kent on Tuesday to finalise a deal.
Roberts' agent Neil Featherby told the Pink Un': "Contrary to reports we didn't have a meeting with Gillingham, although one is planned for later in the week.
"While we have had talks with Gillingham I can state that, at this moment in time, these same discussions are still ongoing. As yet nothing has been finalised.
"I am in no doubt that Iwan will have put pen to paper before the end of next week, as most clubs are back for pre-season training by July 1," he added.

lol, yeah i see your point.....but, youth is the future, and sides like crewe who, forgive me for being harsh, who have fuck all to spend, need to bring youth players up. Thats what you have to do to survive. Bring your youth players through, hope they play well, then sell them to raise some cash
