Raphaël Wicky (born April 26, 1977 in Leuggern) is a Swiss footballer, who currently plays for Chivas USA in Major League Soccer. He is a defensive midfielder who can also play in defence.
Wicky has played for Werder Bremen, Atlético Madrid, and Hamburger SV after his first spell at FC Sion. He was part of the Swiss national teams at Euro 96 and Euro 2004 as well as at the 2006 World Cup. He signed again for Sion after he lost his place in the first team at Hamburger SV.
He signed on a free transfer with Los Angeles based Major League Soccer side Chivas USA in February 2008.[1]
