So basically no real american like say if they were born in new york and is not latino can play for Chivas?

This is so complicated, i cant see a team improving ever if this is the case.

Is not that complicated...

WE ARE THE TEAM WITH MOST CHAMPIONSHIPS IN MEXICO

12 Amateur 1908 - 1948

10 Liga Cups

4 .- Concacaf Champion of Champions

Biggest trophy room in the world just after Real Madrid..

Well its not hard winning every year in mexico. The usa style is very stupid with playoffs as say a team has been unbeaten all season and then just had one off day and lost that game, they lost there season. Im not a big fan of that system.

We have play offs in Mexico too..

and the league is way more competitive than the MLS.

Club level in Mexico is way higher than the National Team..

usually all European stars play in Mexico before they migrate to their leagues.

Wont having two clubs in LA be a waste? surely you the club would be better getting support from a city without a club?

Are there any other Mexican teams thinking of doing a similar thing?
Personally with so many hispanic people in the US from Mexico who love football i can really see the MLS going from strength to strength. Which can only benefit the world of football as a whole.

I still don't see the problem, and its not fair to say they are a feeder team, until they actually play a game.

Besides, if the MLS doesn't have a problem, then why would anybody else?

I say good for them, if they employ only Mexicans. Americans have enough opportuninities abroad.

I hope this thread is not where Talk Soccer is heading. It's a great forum (the only one I use), but if we are graduating to cultural insults (or supposedly a lack of culture) then it may be time for me to look elsewhere -- I'm sure no one will shed a tear.

This community is generally pretty open minded. I hope this thread is an aberration.

There's enough room for 2 teams in Los Angeles

in Mexico we have citys that have up to 4 teams..

Guadalajara had 4 at a point

Chivas - Atlas - Tecos - Universidad de GDL

Los Angeles is full of Chivas followers that won't support

Galaxy because it's mainly for central americans

But they willl support CHivas USA

so I think there's enough hinchas for both teams...
