Official: Shevchenko to Milan
Quote:
According to Secolo XIX, Andriy Shevchenko has given his blessing over a move to Sampdoria, however the deal is still unlikely at this stage.
Shevchenko is desperate to quit Chelsea after two miserable seasons at the club following his move from Milan in the summer of 2006.
There has been much talk over the past few days of Sampdoria making a shock loan swoop for the Ukrainian. While Samp transfer chief Beppe Marotta branded the story as “pure fantasy”, Italian transfer expert Claudio Pasqualin explained that a transfer may be possible.
"I think Shevchenko might return to Italy, but we have to wait a while," he said.
"Abramovich might give him away for free on loan, and Marotta would do well to bring him to Samp after the successful experience with Cassano."
Secolo XIX now claims that Shevchenko has given his blessing over a move to the port city, and is excited at the possibility of a forward partnership with Antonio Cassano.
However, there a few obstacles in his way. First of all Chelsea would prefer to sell Shevchenko, rather than release him on loan, and Samp would refuse to pay the €6.5m that the Blues are asking for.
Secondly, Shevchenko’s wife wants to stay in London, which thus provides a family problem if he were to move back to Italy.

Not going to happen. Sheva will end his career at Chelsea, it is all about Pride with this player, we paid so much for him that we will not give him away on a free.

I think Shevchenko is destined to end up in America. The BBC's North American expert Sean Wheelock said that the happiest that he and his wife have been since they joined Chelsea was when they toured America last summer, when they played LA Galaxy. With the MLS looking to follow up the Beckham capture, it wouldnt surprise me one bit if Shevchenko followed him over to LA or maybe New York.

Honestly, Shevchenko has himself to blame for ruining his career so early. That's because of his move to Chelsea.
Definately not blaming Chelsea, Sheva never fit in the system, but wasn't supported to have success anyway.
He should have never moved away from Milan, we would have still been talking about him in superlative. Now he is a man of the past. Shame really, he had still to offer.

I highly doubt these reports, as does Galliani (Milan):
Quote:
Galliani concluded by dismissing reports that former Rossonero Andriy Shevchenko could join Sampdoria.
"If Sheva comes to Italy, he will come to us,” he asserted. “But a source very close to Roman Abramovich has told me that he won’t be moving.”

He won't end up at Doria, but Galliani is dilusional if he thinks Sheva would be allowed to play for Milan again.

If Milan pay us the 30 mill euros that we gave them for him, then they can have him. Otherwise keep dreaming.

Sheva will only go to Milan if he leaves...the relationship with Milan is like none other. Sheva is family at Milan...literally.

Fuck pride. We're paying him 130,000 a week to improve his golf score.

so sorry for Sheva.
used to enjoy watching him scoring with Milan, but this is life.
Chelsea is not a normal team anymore. Chelsea players are always expected to improve. and Sheva's great past is not helping to keep a regular first team role.
united states is a good destination for him, his fimaly, and career-end.

I know we should but do you really think that Roman will let him go on a free? Roman is a business man and ofcourse there is no chance of making anywhere near the 30 mill back so he will keep him at Chelsea at all costs. Plus don't forget Sheva was one of his favourites so I doubt he minds paying those high wages for him.

Sheva wil be given a chance but I don't he has it in himself to perform anymore. He will be imo a fringe player once more, because Scolari won't waste time on him if he isn't performing.
