I'd of probably gone for Miguel first just for the price you've paid. I'm not doubting that Bosingwa is quality but Miguel would have been 3 times cheaper.
He's in really bad shape and has turned into a fat bastard but for about £5m could have been a bargain.

Dont think getting players for a bargain fee is a high priority with our club lol.

Lets hope he can defend...because Belletti can't defend but he attacks amazingly... then Paulo defends well but can't really attack...we just need some one in the middle...I hope he is the one to solve our Rb problems.

Heard a Portuguese journalist saying he was over-priced, but this is Chelsea...its the price on the ticket for them (and probably for United as well). If they are interested in a player, the selling club pretty much knows it can hike the price up by a few million and it wont really jeopardize the deal. But then you could argue that Chelsea have been shrewd to tie this up before the Euros, when inevitably prices go up in the wake of decent performances.
The same fella also said he felt Paulo Ferreira was a better all round player, which I found interesting. I believe Bosingwa will be Portugal's first choice RB at Euro 2008, so I will be interested to see him in action.

Miguel lost his place in the starting NT to Bosingwa, even when he was on form at the start of the season.
So Chelsea either signed a starter or a sub.
