Well better team won. one team trying to win, one trying to draw.
Such a bad goal to concede , only way they were going to score.
My motm was Mikel, I thought he was superb , all game allways plays well against United. Deffo penalty for us, clear as day for anyone, hits the hand, cba united fans + Alex moaning over ballack 50.50 with Ronaldo, and his slight touch on Carrick, geesh.
Unbeaten in 81 home games amazing.
Btw scum Evra and Park Ji Sung , Dong and co get off the pitch when told, learn some manners, hopefully punishment is dealt out fairly.
Rio kicking a Female, amazing, United fans call Arsenal fans bad losers.
United are playing poor, no wins in three, clear slump.
Amazing to think how easilly we could be top, if just had concentrated in last 5 mins of a game, Spurs and wigan come to mind, so does Villa, so does getting robbed at Blackburn for a clear goal.
Looking forward to United loosing to West Ham, Wigan under steve Bruce will be United wipping boys, down to the wire.
Get in.

Ronaldo Ballack 50.50. Does that mean a situation like that should be a penalty 50 times out of 50?

 50-50?
Is that implying Ronaldo was also trying to molest Ballack?
You can take a look at the video posted by ReMad. Ballack had his back to the ball and his arm around Ronaldo's neck.
You're not fooling anyone.
I did find the little argument between Drogba and Ballack very amusing though
Essien's reaction was classic!
United will still win the league, I can't imagine SAF won't be able to get them up to get what should be a routine 6 points, despite West Ham's good record against us in recent times.

I think the main thing to consider in the West Ham v United game is not that West Ham have a relatively decent record against United, but the fact that they have a shit football team and a less than inspirational manager, and that if United play at even 50% they will win comfortably....

A draw would have all but won us the title. Can hardly criticise us for going to Stamford Bridge and playing for the result that would have won us the league.
If you look at any footage of the incident with the Man Utd players and Chelsea groundstaff you'll see it is a Chelsea guy who is the aggressor and the one being held back by a colleague.
Rio didn't 'kick a female' he accidently brushed her leg when kicking a wall. She was unhurt and saw the funny side. Rio was very apologetic and bought her some flowers to say sorry.
Oh and I really don't think I can take you seriously after seeing you claim an accident handball is a definite penalty while the Ballack Ronaldo incident was 50/50. That is just complete shit.
West Ham beat us at Upton Park this season and last season when we fielded a weaken team, they beat a weakened team at Old Trafford last year and were very fortunate to do so. It won't happen again. We'll field a strong side against what is an average team, with an average manager who have nothing to play for; I can only see one outcome.

The free and frank exchange of views between Drogba and Ballack was intrsically funny.
Could anyone tell what Mikel did to get Ferdinand so ticked off in injury time?

I didn't get to see the game but of the incidents shown in the highlights this seemed the most innocuous one. Ronaldo like a hissing cat and Ballack just blocking his path, like 9 out of 10 defenders do at all corners.
Very dangerous to underestimate opponents at this stage of the season. I can only hope your players feel the same way you do.
Russell: I heard Rio did kick the lady and it hurt, but she accepted his apology.
Accident or not that was a penalty.
If you look at the footage of the groundstaff incident you need a lot of imagination to piece much together at all. A non-event.

Chelsea fantasy land... just because "everyone" does it, doesn't make it right, does it? If the referee sees it it should be a penalty. The referee saw it but bottled it.

Hardly underestimating, if a West Ham team, with a manager who traditionally slumps in the last 10 games of the season, who struggled to beat Derby a couple of weeks ago, or Wigan, who have never even come close to bothering United, give us problems, then we probably don't deserve the league.

Then if we go back through the match there should have been 10 penalties and a further 45 minutes of injury time (no exaggeration). The ref must have seen it, he waved it off.

Stop right there....these games don't follow normal patterns. Trends often go right out of the window and nerves get the better of things. We'll see just how much bottle Utd have, that might count for more than quality in these types of games.

Bollocks, there was definitely no grappling as blatant as that one in the game.
I can remember John Terry getting penalties for similar fouls on quite a few occasions.
If United had the nerve last year, I can't see them losing it over the space of a year...

It means if we starting giving penalties for theese light tangles then there be 4 penalties a game.

I saw more from Chelsea defenders on the same play. Look again. The difference for me was Ronaldo's genuinely hilarious reaction to it, just like a cat when water's dropped on it, or a small child being held back from a fight by its beleaguered mother.

It's very different this year. All I'm saying is, strange things happen and anything less than 100% could be a disaster.

Light tangle
You know the difference between a bear hug and a light tangle right?
If refs actually gave penalty's in these situations then players would stop doing it. Too bad most of them don't have the cajones to do it.

Six of one, half dozen of the other.
Outside the box a free kick inside a not a foul.
Just because your United get many penalties, doesn't mean you get them all the time, I thought the ref was fantastic on the day, called it great.
